Photo of the Day: Blue and Green Diamond, Miami Beach

The twin Blue and Green Diamond towers are the tallest buildings in Miami Beach, Florida, and from 2000 to 2008 they were the tallest oceanfront residential buildings in the United States. If you're in the market for the best in oceanfront living, a modest 1,100-square-foot condo will easily cost up to one million dollars.

A Green-backed heron takes a leisurely stroll along a lonely fountain in an otherwise crowded sidewalk of Lincoln Road in Miami Beach. Green-backed herons are small among herons and are native to North and Central America.

Photo of the Day: La Gloutonnerie

La Gloutonnerie is a French cuisine restaurant located on South Beach, Florida, just a few blocks from the famous Joe’s Stone Crabs.

The food is authentic and absolutely delicious; and yes, it may be a bit expensive, but you’ll definitely get your money’s worth. I highly recommend the Sunday brunch, but you’ll need to arrive early, as this is a popular spot for both locals and tourists alike.

Bon appétit.

Photo of the Day: Star-Cross'd Lovers' Silhouetes?

“Two households, both alike in dignity
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents' strife.”

- William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet

The iconic Clevelander is among South Beach’s most recognized hotels. It’s also home to one of the best bars, nightclub and entertainment hot-spot on Ocean Drive.

The Miami Beach Intracoastal is part of a 3,000 miles waterway along the Atlantic coast of the United States. It runs from New Jersey in the Eastern Seaboard, down to Florida, and around the Gulf of Mexico to Texas.
